My name is Jeff Jackson and I am a junior studying as an English major with an emphasis in rhetoric and composition and a minor in communication. I'm actually thinking about switching my emphasis to technical communication. Haven’t decided for sure yet. This is my second year at Boise State and I love how amazing the campus is.I've enjoyed riding my bike past it on the greenbelt my whole life, and seriously the river is too high right now.
Travis Smith suggested that I take this class, and It was interesting and fun. I learned more than I'd hoped, more than I knew and am looking forward to seeing the reflection of the impact it has on the rest of my life.
Outside of my studies at BSU, I am a single full-time dad to a nifty 7-year-old boy, his name is Parker and he is in the first grade. Aside from seeking higher education at BSU and parenting, I mainly enjoy MTB in the Boise Foothills, cruising the Boise Greenbelt, reading (bits and pieces of each book I pick-up), and cooking experimental cuisine. I also am a Volkswagen enthusiast and spend time tuning my VW Jetta MK6 autobahn. I was born and raised here in Boise. All my immediate and close family lives here as well.
My favorite book is Tortilla Flat by John Steinbeck and my favorite movie is A River Runs Through It. Thanks for being a great class this semester, and thanks to our instructor Dr. Casper, who answered my call every time throughout the semester. It was exciting to meet you all online
Cheers,
Jeff
